Our Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Ridley Education Association (REA) to sustain a strong, supportive, and unified presence in representing the teachers of Ridley School District. With an interest in the ever-evolving public education landscape, REA members are at the forefront of redefining education and what it means for the students of Ridley schools to be successful. The REA encourages professional guidelines and advocates for quality education, a process and institution that is integral to the best interest of Ridley School District students. While working to maintain a safe, just, and professional atmosphere that appeals to high-quality teaching professionals, the REA also collectively bargains for fair terms of labor.
The REA is committed on behalf of its members to respond to the changes in education through a variety of efforts that improve the effectiveness of teaching and the quality of learning. Education reform initiatives are most successful when teachers have a voice. The REA is dedicated to providing that voice, as well as a vision to protect, promote, and preserve the educational practices synonymous with a superior learning environment. The REA strives to advance the teaching profession by providing opportunities to learn strategies for valuable instruction and parent communication, as well as information regarding student development and well-being.
Along with administrators, parents, members of the community, and local leaders, the REA works diligently to ensure opportunities to develop new and innovative ways of improving the teaching profession, as well as the public education system.
